Class 2

Welcome to Year 2!

This year - we have enjoyed 3 topics so far. 'Blinding Buildings', 'Fire! Fire!'  and 'Bookworms'.  We are working as 'Pirates!'

This term Year 2 are travelling to the wonderful world of Pirates! 

We will be reading pirate stories and learning about the real life of pirates! We will be writing instructions, diaries, stories and factsheets all about pirates!

Our science is ‘Variation’.  We will be comparing ourselves to other living things and investigating plants and animals.  As part of National Science week, we will be learning about Issac Newton. 

In Numeracy we will be ‘Data Handling’, problem solving and calculating!

Our RE is preparing for Easter, by learning about Lent and the events in the last week of Jesus’ life.

We are enjoying Year 2!

We have had some lovely extra curricular activities including our trip where we were exploring the buildings of Tamworth and we then enjoyed painting and building our buildings with our parents and grandparents.  We have also had some visits from the firemen, a policeman and we've been to Tamworth Library!  We have been busy!

Religious Education is very important to us and we enjoy learning stories from the Bible.  We especially enjoyed the Christmas work - and we presented the Christmas Play 'The Night Before Christmas' to our parents.
